What this metric measures
Method confidence belongs to a metric result, not to the athlete. It should reflect signal quality, source reliability, synchronisation and calibration where applicable.
How Trampoline Lab calculates it
Each metric combines its available quality inputs under a versioned rule. Low confidence can downgrade a method, show a warning or suppress the result.
How to interpret it
Read confidence before comparing values. A precise-looking number with low confidence should not drive a strong conclusion.
Limits and responsible use
Confidence is only useful when calibrated against observed error. It is not a universal probability that a result is correct.
