What this metric measures
Jump height is not one interchangeable number. Flight-time height, body-centre displacement, IMU integration and force-platform methods use different reference points and must retain separate fields.
How Trampoline Lab calculates it
A flight-time estimate may use h = gT²/8 under ballistic assumptions. Calibrated video may estimate body-centre displacement. IMU and force-platform methods require their own calibration and validation.
How to interpret it
Compare values only when method, camera setup, product and model version match. The report should always show “estimated” and the method name.
Limits and responsible use
Camera scale, phase errors, take-off posture and method definition can create material differences. It is not a laboratory measurement unless validated against ground truth.
